Temple Square

Last year was our first year to go see the lights at Temple Square with Kev's family. We all had such a great time we wanted to do it again this year!
By 4:00 Kev was ready to go with his coat and shoes on. Since we weren't supposed to meet until 5:30 I made him wait another half hour before the boys and I were ready to go :) We made it up there in good time which gave us time to find a parking space. It was busy but we found a spot not too far away. We were the first to arrive at the Visitor's Center where we waited for the rest of the crew. Slowly they all arrived and by 6:15 we were outside looking at the beautiful lights!
The weather really was perfect. With a coat and gloves I never even thought about being cold. My boys were bundled up but Rylan didn't want to wear his snow boots since he claims he can only wear them if there's snow on the ground :) With the warm weather and it being so close to Christmas, we definitely weren't the only ones out to enjoy Christmas time. But truthfully, it's kinda fun to be out with so many people laughing and oohing and aahhing at the lights!
Dennis had our camera for half the time. We asked him to take our family picture and this is what he gave us:

Towards the end of our time we stopped for hot chocolate provided by the Vosti fam and donuts provided by some of the rest of us. Yummo! Asher couldn't quite get enough of anything (including the candy canes brought by Vostis) and he kept asking for more and more. It's hard to say no to that little cutie but I just gotta do it anyway!
Asher spent most of his time on uncle Mark's shoulders. He had a great time and left Mark with a few claws marks on his face!

Rylan was on his daddy's shoulders and other kids were able to hitch some rides as well!
