Sweet Chocolate Faces

Who can resist cake with chocolate frosting? Not my boys! Who can resist kissing those two cute chocolate faces? Not me! Who can resist following a piece of cake with a cheese stick? Not Rylan! I just love Sunday nights :)

Measuring up some fun!

I love the creativity (and flexibility!) of kids. Yesterday I was in the kitchen cooking up something yummy :) and Asher was at my feet wanting some attention. So I grabbed a measuring spoon and cup and he was off to enjoy his new toys. A few minutes later I see him balancing a small ball on the measuring spoon and a bigger ball on the measuring cup and he's walking slowly. It reminded me of that egg on a spoon race and just made me smile. He had so much fun with it and tried over and over again when the ball would fall off.

but I use them anyways because sometimes they are so cute!

Two Things

I bought a new hat for Asher without him there to try it on. And silly me, I bought a size 18-24 months hat. I know my boys have big heads so I should have bought a bigger hat. When I got home I had him try it on and yes, it was too small, but he loved it! I took it off and put in back in the bag so I can go exchange it, but that upset him. He just kept pointing to the bag. So I let him wear it around for a bit. If it ever fell off he'd bring it to me to put it back on. We'll have to exchange it ASAP!

And why do my boys do this with their sippy cups? They both bite down on the sipper and tilt their heads back not even holding on to the cup. It sure would help the lids last longer if they used their hands instead of their teeth!

Friday Fun Day

We headed up to the Thanksgiving Point farm for a perfect outing on a perfect day. The weather was fantastic, there were some baby animals out, and we all had fun!

Rylan didn't want to feed the goats so I had to take a picture of the twins in action.
The turkeys were out of control. Okay, so I always thought their wattles were always red. But it only gets red when they are upset or excited and blood collects there. In fact after awhile this turkey calmed down and his wattle went white. And then he went crazy again and we watched it go back to red. How did I never know that? It really was so interesting.

Rylan loved this tractor. He talked about it the rest of the day.
Asher had fun too!
This cute little "From Farm to Market" had fruits and veggies you could plant and harvest. Here's Asher planting a tomato in the ground. They had bushes and trees you could hang them on as well, for berries and apples, etc. Then you harvest them and put them on a truck that has a conveyor belt and you can take them to the market. It was super cute!

I know this is a bad picture but there are some little tunnels there and you can learn more about the dirt and earthworms!
We finished off at Del Taco where the boys played some more. Rylan's never been a fan of the enclosed slides or really any of the play toys at McDonalds or Del Taco or wherever. Today he ran in there and when I walked in he said "look mom I'm having fun"!! And sure enough he played the entire time going up and down the slide. I love these days. It was another fun outing with Tami and the twins!

Egg Hunt

We had a pretty low key Easter this year. We didn't dye Easter eggs and the Easter bunny didn't even come. Good thing that's not what Easter is about, right?

Spanish Fork has an "egg hunt" every year at the Sports Park near our house. They divide up the age groups onto different fields and just spread out eggs for the kids to run and grab. We've never been there early enough to enjoy the anticipation. We always arrive as they are counting down so we just find the nearest field and GO! We could have split up Ry and Asher this year and Asher may have had more fun, but he didn't really know what was going on so that's okay.Some eggs have really cool prizes inside (tickets for gift cards or even new bikes!) but all our eggs only had candy and tattoos. The boys were happy with that, though!

It was rainy and fun!
