Rylan:
(July 2 (?), 2013)
I didn't write down when he said he but one day at the
gym Charlie was leaving the same time the boys and I were leaving. Asher
told Charlie he wanted to go to his house so Charlie took Asher with
him to play with Gavin. I took Rylan and Tyce to the car, got all
buckled in, and while leaving the parking lot Rylan asked where Asher
was.
Me: "He went with uncle Charlie, remember?"
Rylan: "Yeah, and I already miss him."
Me: "You do?"
Rylan: "No."
Ha ha ha!
(July 29, 2013)
Me: "Did you know that school registration is this week and you get to find out who your teacher is?"
Rylan: "No"
Me: "It's on Thursday"
Rylan: "I know what you're going to say next, mom. You usually say something like 'Isn't that exciting?' But it's not."
Asher:
(July 3, 2013)
While driving in the car Asher was back in his seat just laughing and laughing. After a few minutes he sighed and said "I have funny things in my mind."
(July 9, 2013)
Asher has been so funny lately, saying things that don't make any sense but they sure make me laugh. The other night at dinner he asked for chocolate milk. I told him he could ahve some after he finished his dinner. He pumped his fist in the air and proclaimed "Here's to the righteous people" and proceeded to take a bite of food!
He's also into saying "I'm doing my business". Once he was upside down on the couch with his feet in the air, eyes closed, and his hands together in prayer position when he told me "Quiet mom, I'm doing my business."
(July 23, 2013)
Kevin left yesterday for a work thing and he'll be gone all week. Tonight at dinner Asher said "Mom, do you miss dad?"
Me: "Yes, do you?"
Asher: "Yes."
I just thought it was so sincere. That boy loves his daddy.
Tyce:
(July 31, 2013)
Tyce was laying on Rylan's bed before going to his own bed for the night. I laid down next to him and gave him a kiss on his forehead. A few seconds later he rolled over and gave me a kiss on my forehead. Such a sweetheart.

Camping
I had been aching to go camping and with a quick text out to my family the plans started. My mom and I drove up to Timpanooeke to try to snatch our favorite family camping spot but it was taken :( We drove around for awhile looking for something else but we just weren't quite satisfied with what few spots were available. We had been in the car for several hours with Asher and Tyce who were really doing great. We stopped at home but then before getting out of the car we decided to go ahead and drive up Payson canyon. Not the same big mountains, lots of shade type camping but we found a spot big enough for the family with room for kids to go exploring. We texted everyone to start packing up their tents and sleeping bags! Yea!
It's always a lot of work to pack for camping but it's always so worth it! Tami and fam ended up coming for the days/nights and going back home to sleep and Kacy's family ended up coming for Saturday and left after dinner that night. Deborah's kids weren't sleeping so great in the tent so they went home at bedtime on Saturday night. But my mom, Charlie and kids and my little family stuck it out for the two nights and had a great time!!! My boys just love being outside and being with cousins. I love so much about camping (relaxing family time can't be beat). And I'm pretty sure Kevin enjoys camping, too :) So camping is a great getaway for our family.
Saturday afternoon we drove down the canyon to hike the Grotto. It's just a little "hike" to a little waterfall but it's pretty and great for the kiddos.
Tyce fell asleep in the car ride down and didn't transition well to the back pack. I carried him for a very short time then had to pass him off before I passed out :) He refused the back pack and wasn't pleased to be on Kevin's shoulders at first. He eventually calmed down but didn't share many smiles. Poor, tired boy. It's hard to be cranky in the mountains though :)
Rylan is always so so so happy when we're camping. I think it's a combination of being in nature and being with his two best cousins/friends!
Adam was letting Finn use the hatchet on this old tree stump so of course the other little boys wanted a turn. All that wacking scared me too much. 4 years old is too little to be playing with things like that!
It's so fun sleeping in a tent :) Tyce looked so warm and cozy and was layered up with lots of blankets. Asher's just a goof!
Playing games is one of my favorite parts of camping!!

Domino Men
The boys have had the dominoes out the last few days. Today Asher used them to make Domino Men. Cute! He requested to take a picture. Then he requested to take a picture while I was holding Tyce. It's blurry but I still like it :) Then of course I ended up with a bunch of Asher's selfies and random pictures!
24th of July
Just look at that face. So incredibly sweet...
Kevin will be away all week for work. He's staying up at a cabin with his co-workers for some bonding time/working. So he wasn't here to help us celebrate the 24th of July. We really didn't do much. It's Spanish Fork's Fiesta days so they had a parade in the morning. I don't really care for parades and my boys have never been too excited so we didn't go. Plus, Tyce came down with a fever and was throwing up the night before. Poor little guy. Poor me, too. The two times he threw up I was holding him so it was all over me. The not so fun times of being a mom! Of course it's always nice to cuddle them and hold them when your kids are sick.
Anyways, Tami called and invited us to her house for some pizza for dinner. I think it was from holding Tyce so much since he was sick, but I was having these terrible pains in my belly. I don't know if the weight of him was pushing the baby around but I was having a hard time breathing, sitting, walking, and getting comfortable. Tami was super nice and picked up Rylan and Asher earlier in the day to play at her house so I could relax and try to get the pains to go away. So Tyce and I joined in the fun for dinner. I thought Tyce was feeling better but he was still a bit clingy. Instead of playing with cousins he sat with me most of the time. Which was fine by me cause I sure do love that boy :)
We eventually all left the house to go to my mom's house. Spanish Fork has a fireworks show after the rodeo. It ends up being pretty late but we were all excited to watch them! Everyone was outside when we got there. It was a beautiful night. I sat down and tried not to move the rest of the night :) Ry and Asher ran around and around playing with cousins. They were having a great day! Tyce continued to stay by me and eventually took over Tami's phone. We all oohed and aahhed once the fireworks started. Such a pleasant night! If only Kevin had been there with us...
It was really late when we got home but we all quickly fell asleep and had a good night's rest.

Bowling
Bowling was on our summer bucket list and Ry has been asking to go for several weeks now. So we finally did it!
I didn't take any pictures of us actually bowling. Kevin beat me so I didn't have any fun :( Just kidding. We all had a good time, despite my loss!
I gave Tyce a high five after his first bowl (pushing the ball down the uneven kiddie helper thingy). He was quick to give me a high five after each bowl from then on!
Post bowling Tyce crawled over and laid down in the gutter. Asher used the kiddie helper thingy as a jungle gym. Rylan was putting his shoes on and I didn't get a picture of it :)

Carnival Fun!
Spanish Fork has their city days over the 24th of July. Every year the little carnival comes to town so we just have to go! We didn't pre-buy our tickets so we went on family night when every ride is $1.00. The boys each picked out their favorite rides and the fun began!!
Kevin did NOT want to go on the ferris wheel but I had a sudden anxiety attack and couldn't go. He took the two boys and they loved it :)
I took Tyce on the carousel while we were waiting for the big boys. He picked his horse and was happy and ready to go!
Then the carousel started with a jolt and Tyce got scared :( He didn't like the rest of the ride.
I took Tyce on this bee ride. It was a joke getting this pregnant belly in and out! I tried to not be embarrassed but I was hoping nobody was watching me! A neighbor (Tammy Bennett) did tell me later when we ran into each other that she saw me on the ride and was impressed I wasn't getting sick going around in circles. I was glad she didn't see me trying to squeeze in or out of the little door!
This slide is always a hit! They have one like it at Thanksgiving Point's Cornbelly's and we all love it! I didn't get to zoom down this time--next year! Kevin held Tyce who looked a bit scared but said he liked it.
My boys aren't known for their show of excitement. I promise they were having fun on this boat ride! While Asher and Tyce rode the boat, Kevin took Rylan to a scarier ride. I don't remember which one it was but initially Ry asked if he could go on a big ride that twists and turns and basically just makes you sick. I couldn't go (pregnant) and Kevin really would have lost his dinner so a disappointed Rylan chose a ride more suitable to Kevin :)
We had 3 tickets left so Kevin snuck off with Ry and Asher to go down the super fun slide again. I distracted Tyce and we ran into Lily! She was down here with a friend. Not sure if that friend lives in SF or what but it was fun to see her! I told her where Kevin and the boys were and she found them to say 'hello'.
We came home and enjoyed a small bowl of ice cream (after washing hands, and arms really, really well with lots of soap and hot water!) then off to bed for the boys. Another fun night at the fair!!

Tyce
Three things that Tyce loves: Bubbles, drawing, and play dough
(I liked his pokin up hair in this picture :)
He also likes to delete photos off my phone. I had better pictures of him blowing bubbles but unfortunately he deleted them and left me with only one picture. Oh well, I still love the cute boy :)

Shadows
I follow a girl from high school on instagram. She's pregnant, too, about 4 weeks behind me. She's also a photographer and is very creative. She recently posted a picture of her shadow while she was out on her run/walk. It was such a fun picture I thought I'd do the same.
So there's this fence I pass and I always notice my shadow in it as I walk by. I stopped today to take a picture:
And then I laughed and laughed the rest of my walk--my bum is so small, by belly is just out there and my head is so big! Such a funny angle to see my shadow in. So I continued walking and snapped a picture of my elongated shadow on the road (which is what Rachel had done in the first place).
Obviously neither of them show what I really look like but it was fun copying someone else's creativity :)
