Ry's Quotes

(November 10, 2010)
Ry: "Mom, I growed and growed and growed and then I said 'What the heck?' And I could say that cause I'm bigger, like daddy. Do you like to say that?"
Me: "Not really, it's not a very nice phrase to use."
Ry: "But sometimes you say it."
Me: "Did you learn it by hearing me say it?"
Ry: "No, I just learned it because I growed bigger."

While looking in the cupboard...
Ry: "Is this raisin bread?"
Me: "Yep."
Ry: opening up the next cupboard door "And there's more bread?"
Me: "Yep. Asher and I went to the grocery store while you were at preschool."
Ry: *gasp* "Thanks, mom!"

(November 13, 2010)
Ry: "I'm going with mommy because I love her. Daddy, you are not my friend for 100 days."
Kev: "That's unfortunate, because I only let my friends play the iPod."
Bribery...sometimes we get extra love from bribery!! Maybe this should go under "Kev's quotes".

(November 15, 2010)
Ry: "If we climbed that mountain could we walk on the clouds on top?"
Me: "Well that would be fun, wouldn't it? Actually, clouds aren't thick enough to walk on top of. They are made of lots of droplets of water so you'd just walk through them."
Ry: "But then I might fall off the mountain."
Me: "That would be a big fall."
Ry: "Not if I had my parachute."

We were walking into the gym and a weed was being blown our way. Rylan hopped behind me and, visibly frightened said "Mom, mom, it's a walking stick!!"
I started laughing and he cautiously came out from behind me. When he saw the weed blowing in the wind he started laughing as well. "Oh, I just thought that stick was walking".

At dinner I was telling Asher he needed to eat his green beans because they will help his body grow and keep us healthy and strong. Blah blah blah, Asher wasn't listening. But Rylan sure was, and awhile later he turned to me and asked...
Ry: "Do you want me to grow?"
Me: "No way, I want you to stay little forever."
Ry: "Then I better not eat my green beans!"
No arguing that one! Good thing he had already finished his green beans :)

While looking through the Black Friday ads:
Ry: "Oh. My. Gosh. Mom, this is what I want for Christmas. Oh my gosh. I want it."
Then he showed me an ad for an iPad. Seriously? Who is this kid? I think we'll stick with the garbage truck, road roller, and scooter!!
