And of course we had to take advantage of all this fresh white snow to make snow ice cream. (Please ignore the fact that our cool whip bowls get regular use around our house!) Such a fun winter treat!
That was just the beginning of our two day storm that brought us over 16" of snow. We woke up the second day (the 21st) and saw all the snow and it really felt like Christmas. The roads were so bad that Kevin was able to just work from home (which was a good start to his time off work for Christmas!) and school was even canceled--which goes to show how much snow we really had. School doesn't get canceled around here often. And not that that really affected us cause Ry was already out of preschool for winter break. But the snow really was amazing! Here are some pictures from the morning of the 21st.

Our second major storm came on the 29th. Kevin was (again) off work that day so all the boys got dressed in their snow gear and headed out to play. It was still snowing but that only added to their fun. (I was inside our nice warm house putting away Christmas decorations!)
