Doyle Nativity

The Vostis invited us all over for a night of the nativity reenactment and a chili dinner. We borrowed Tami's box of costumes and this time Rylan agreed to participate! He was a very cute wise man. Asher wore the pig head for a little while but he was mostly interested in playing with the trains.
Aubrey made some delicious breadsticks to go along with the chili that Angie made and I brought a simple green salad. Wonderful meal! Mary Kaye made some cocoa krispie treats that were a hit--I think I could have eaten the entire pan myself :)
Mary had a copy of a nativity program which included songs for us to sing. She wasn't able to come but Matt brought it along so we could use it. Mary Kaye was the narrator and the rest of us joined in in one way or another. Most of us even had some sort of dress up!

At times it was very serious:
And other times we had some laughs and giggles:

We had some time afterwards to tell stories, chat, laugh, and have a good time. I have an idea--let's do it again next year!!
