Tyce's Blessing Day

Oh, my sweet baby Tyce. How I love this little thing. Yesterday he was blessed by his daddy and it was such a special day for us. I was so emotional and had tears in my eyes all morning--good tears. Tears reminding me that this sweet spirit was sent to me by our Heavenly Father. I am so grateful for the priesthood and a husband who honors that priesthood and who could give this sweet babe of mine such a wonderful blessing. My friend Jessica wrote down the blessing and I'm so glad she was so thoughtful!

Our entire family was there and came to our house afterwards for lunch and we all just hung out for the day.

Years ago while we were in Belgium I taught English to a little Japanese boy, Toshi. I was 4 or 5 months pregnant with Rylan when we left Belgium and Toshi's mom gave me this cute little outfit for him. I don't know how it happened, but Rylan never wore the outfit...and neither did Asher. So when it came time to find a blessing outfit for Tyce, this outfit came to mind and I pulled it out. I tried in on Tyce a few days prior to the big day and took some pictures to show Kevin to see what he thought. "It looks Japanese" he said. I hadn't told him where the outfit came from so I got a good laugh, seeing as how a Japanese lady gave it to us! He says it's because the top is square--that's what make it look Japanese. Okay. I thought it was perfect :)!!(I guess you can't really see the whole outfit in any of the pictures. But it was cute!)

I should have asked someone to take a little family picture for us, but I forgot. So we did the next best thing and had Rylan take a picture and then we swapped having our pictures taken with our three wonderful boys!
