Both my boys love to help me cook dinner. I'll admit that most of the time I'd rather not have them in the kitchen so I can just do my thing. Maybe that's because cooking dinner is one of the things I really really do not like and having little helpers just makes it take that much longer. But I really do try to let them help me in hopes that one day they will be responsible enough (and even better, enjoy cooking!) that they will be the cooks in the house :)
Asher is very good at stirring and adding spices. Rylan likes to do it all but he's always looking for something to chop or cut.
Here's Asher helping me make some Baked Potato Soup. Maybe one of these days he'll actually eat dinner after helping to make it. Don't they say that helps kids get more excited about eating? Hasn't worked with Asher yet but I'm not giving up!
