Rylan's Music Program

Rylan just finished his 2nd year of Let's Play Music and what a fun year it was! He's always been great about going to class and practicing at home. This year was a fun one because he learned so much about the piano notes/keys and learned how to play many songs. Our piano is in the front room and he'll often go in there, sit down, and start playing. Sure, it's usually the same 2 or 3 songs over and over, but at least he's playing! About halfway through the year he started practicing first thing in the morning. In fact, I think that's his favorite time--when he gets to play the piano while everyone else is still asleep!

For their music program they got together with two other classes from two other teachers. The classes took turns singing and/or playing the keyboards. I just loved watching Rylan :)

For his third and final year of Let's Play Music he will have a different teacher. We're kinda bummed about that but he's happy he will at least be in the same class as his friend Josh. But the 3rd year will be really great for him because they get to write their own music! He will be able to play his own composed piece at the end of the year recital. Cool!
