Kev worked from home on Friday. Even though he's working I love when he's home. I did an Insanity workout while Ry was at school. Kev came down occasionally to cheer me on...or tell me to work harder is more like it!
I picked up Ry from school and Christian invited him over. We came home to have lunch and do a few quick chores and then Asher, Tyce, and I walked Ry halfway. Rylan waved goodbye to us after Christian had answered the door.
While Ry was occupied I decided to go run some errands. Deborah was wearing a cute skirt the other day when we went to the Tulip Festival. She got it at Target so I've been wanting to go buy one. I called Christian's dad and asked if he could just drop Ry off at home when he went to pick up Allen from school. That gave me plenty of time to go up to Target and I bought the skirt! Now I need a cute shirt to go with it :) I had called Kev to make sure Ry made it home. Yes, and Christian and Allen were here, too. Asher fell asleep on the way home and slept on the couch for quite some time amidst all the play. Kevin had baked a cake while I was gone and was ready to make frosting. We were out of milk so I left Kev home with all the boys (did I put Tyce down for a nap?) and made a quick trip to Macey's. Okay, I'm really never quick at the store. It bugs!
I made some frosting when I got home and made some tuna on toast for dinner. We kept it warm on the stove until Christian and Allen left. It was close to 7 by the time we sat down to eat.
Towards the end of dinner Dain and Evan stopped by. Always a nice visit! Rylan asked if he could frost the cake. Okay! Then we all had a piece (or two!)
We put the kids to bed after Dain left and Kevin and I enjoyed another piece of cake while watching "The Adventures of Tin Tin". It wasn't until Saturday morning that I realized I fell asleep at the end and I still don't know how it ended!
Saturday morning I went to my cycle class. Kev went running after I got home. He mapped his run after he got home and surprised himself with 9 miles! I tried doing some cleaning but I wasn't getting very far. Kevin and Asher left at 1:30 for their little date to the park and to get ice cream. Asher was very excited about the ice cream. Everytime we asked him what he wanted to do with daddy he said "Go to the ice cream place" "And what else do you want to do?" "Go to the ice cream place"!!
Gavin came over at 2:30 and played with Rylan and then Asher joined in the fun when he got home. I took Ry to Shopko to buy a T-ball mitt but all they had were pink mitts. Tyce fell asleep in the car so I brought those two boys home and then I raced off to Sam's Club for diapers and milk. We were almost out of the gallon I bought just the day before. We don't usually go through milk that fast but Kevin + cake = lots of milk drinking! Once I got home Kev and Ry raced off to Big 5 to get some mitts and a baseball (Kev bought one for himself so they could play catch). The minute they got home we all piled in the car (plus Gavin) and went to my mom's house for a hot dog dinner. The boys had fun of course, playing with cousins. I had fun of course, talking. And poor Kevin doesn't usually have much fun at my family gatherings :( Some time during the day I fed Tyce his first piece of bread and he just gobbled it right down. I had to make him slow down so he didn't choke on it. At my mom's he had some baked beans and loved those, too! I just bought a little bit of baby food and said it was the last time I was going to buy it. Looks like he really is ready for real food! (And a side note...the other day we were looking in the mirror and I was waving Tyce's hand and saying 'Hi' and 'bye bye'. A couple times after that he would wave and today after Sunday School he started waving as people were walking out. Tonight I was getting him ready for bed and I said "say 'bye-bye' to daddy" and he waved!! Oh, babies are just too cute!!)
A pretty standard Sunday. I made muffins for the boys and was tempted to eat one...but I didn't. 1:00 church makes for a long morning but it really is nice to not be rushed. The boys always shower somewhere between 9 and 10 so we're all mostly ready in plenty of time. Somehow we're always late to church. I made meatloaf for dinner. Tyce had some and gobbled it right up! Now if only we could get Asher to eat...
Our ward does Sunday Street Sweets and today it started back up again for the season. The cul-de-sac behind us was hosting and Ry was anxious to go. We were all waiting on Asher to eat his carrot. It was a fun time once we got over there. The boys had some cookies and otter pops and rode their scooters around (oh how I wish we lived in a cul-de-sac!!) The weather was perfect!
Bed time once we got home. Kev fell asleep in the boys room and I can hear Asher snoring.
