Gingerbread Houses

I made a list of fun things we can do this month to really enjoy Christmas time. My dream is to do one thing a day but realistically, we'll just see how many we can get through!

Today our project was gingerbread houses! I bought some candy a few days ago and we decided to go the graham cracker route just for fun. Maybe one of these years we'll make gingerbread...or maybe not. These little creations have plenty of personality!

Such concentration!

Asher's walls caved in. It was no surprise with all the candy he piled on there!

And here are the final houses. I'm sure they each tell about our personalities. For example, Asher has a major sweet tooth and will eat just about any candy given to him. His house was loaded with candy, top to bottom.
Rylan certainly likes his candy but he's a bit more selective. His house was made up of his favorite candies.

Kevin is the creative, artistic one who can make even a graham cracker house look good!

And mine...well, here it is!

The boys were disappointed they didn't get to eat their houses when they were finished building them. So Rylan put our houses on display in the tv room and they look great! We all had fun munching on the extra candy. It was a fun start to December!!
