Christmas Cookies

In years past we've made sugar cookies with the intention of taking them to some of our neighbors. Then we never get around to delivering them. Well...maybe we just eat them all before they even get packaged up! So this year we just made sugar cookies for ourselves. It's the season of selfishness, right?! Actually, I had decided to make fudge for some neighbors instead, and we did end up taking a plate of cookies to our neighbors next door. Better than in years past!

Like Kevin's vest? It used to be his friend Johnny's vest. See the "JD"? Kevin borrowed?, stole?, was given? the vest while they roomed together at BYU. It was Johnny's birthday so Kev told me he was wearing 'in remembrance of Johnny'. In actuality he was wearing it 'in honor' of Johnny, seeing as how he's still with us :)

I love a good sugar cookie. I used the same recipe as I usually do but something was off. I mean, they were still good. We managed to eat up every last crumb. But I think I'll try a different frosting recipe next time. Valentine's Day?
It's fun to make cookies with my boys so I'm glad this is a tradition for us.

As a side...Asher came up to me with his fists up, ready for a fight and said "Who wants some of this?" I had to have a picture!!
