He's Done

("Cakes and cookies get done, people get finished." I learned that from my 6th grade teacher Mrs. Peterson, whom I loved dearly. I've used that phrase several times myself. But really, is it incorrect to say "he's done"? Hmmm, any English language brainiacs out there to fill me in?)

A week or so ago Asher started pulling the velcro strap off of his helmet. It didn't take him long to figure out that with the velcro strap off he could pull off his helmet. Only problem with that is he never gets it completely off so it just ends up being all skiwampus. I keep hoping this means he's going through a growth spurt (which will help round out his head...as long as he has his helmet on of course!) so it's feeling a little tight for him. Whatever the case may be I think he's ready to be done with this whole helmet bit.
Please excuse the messy face; it was lunch time.

He's free! At least until after lunch time.

That's how Walker was too.. He just kept pulling at it and then I would tell his mom that I took it off for an hour (and of course I felt bad for doing it) but then she tells me.. "Oh. .we take it off all the time..." What..?

He's such a cutie.. Is his hair just like Ry's.. it looks kind of red in these pics?

oh my gosh Janell, he is so cute. I love that he pulls it over his eyes, and I love the word skiwampus.

I love the over-the-eyes pictures, too! How much longer does he have left? Because this is gonna be a hard battle now that he knows how to take it off!

Poor little guy... I'd be pulling it off all the time too!

So cute. I can't believe how different he looks with it off! I think it is like when people take their glasses off, it doesn't really look like them - like something is a little off. Weird how it has just become a part of him. Hopefully he will get to be done with it for real soon. He is such a cutie!
