6 Months

My baby is 6 months old! He's such a cute, fun little boy and not a day goes by that I don't hold him and stare at him in awe. Amazing. My babies are absolutely amazing!
For his 6 month birthday dinner he got to try rice cereal. He reacted as expected...funny face of disgust, open mouth for more, funny face again and then rejection of food!

This little boy is so much FUN! He still doesn't sit without support and he's only rolled from his back to his tummy a handful of times. But we all love to look at him and play with him! No teeth yet but you can see where they are about to come in. Actually you've been able to see them for a month or two. He likes to fly and play patty cake. He wakes up throughout the night to eat and doesn't particularly like to be rocked to sleep. I just wrap him up and lay him in his bed and he'll go to sleep on his own. (So why doesn't he put himself back to sleep when he wakes up during the night? Habit?)

Tyce had his 6 month check up today. Here are his stats:
Weight: 14.13 (6%)
Height: 25.5 (15%)
Head: 17.3 (52%)
He cried for only a moment after his shots. But the cutest was when the nurse was giving him his oral shot, Tyce wrapped his little legs around her arm like a baby monkey! It made us all laugh :)
He's a very sweet baby, laid back, and easy to please. Gosh I love this boy!

Asher had his 3 year check up today and did really well also. His stats:
Weight: 30.8 (44%)
Height: 36" (17%)
Asher has a nervous laugh like his mommy! When the nurse was about to give him his shots he started laughing, wanting to be brave but knowing what was coming. A couple times the doctor asked him to do something and Asher would look at me while nervously laughing. It was the first time I've seen him do that! He too, only cried momentarily after his shots. It was a successful visit!
Dr. Fullmer had his head shaved. I almost didn't recognize him. I wasn't sure what the proper protocol is so when our visit was just about over I asked him if he usually shaves his head. No, he's going through chemo. What? Lymphoma. Sad. He was very positive about it and positive about the outcome. He said his immune system has stayed fairly strong and although weak, his body is doing really well. He is a great doctor and I pray for him. I guess I'll wait three months for an update (when we go in for Tyce's 9 month check up!)
