They opened the call, and of course Mary Kaye's eyes shot straight towards their mission destination. Her hands flew straight to her mouth and her eyes were wide. We knew it was good! Finally they read it outloud and the room bursted with joy as they read they will be serving for 18 months in the Switzerland, Geneva mission!! Amazing! The call said they will be sharing the gospel as well as serving in the mission office. They couldn't be happier.

They both served French speaking missions at 19 and 21 years of age and amazingly, they've both lived in Geneva Switzerland (Mary Kaye was there for 1 year and Dennis for 3 months). They even have a clock (and maybe some other items) in their home that they purchased while in Geneva. Dennis mentioned that when they initially turned in their papers they both shared a desire for Switzerland but quickly pushed it out of their minds and discussed everywhere they'd like to go...they didn't want to curse themselves!
So Switzerland it is and we couldn't be more excited for them. They leave on October 6th which gives us just a little bit more time to enjoy with them. We love them and know they will be incredible missionaries.

How exciting for them! That's so neat. I love seeing parents set such a great example of sacrifice. I can't wait (or maybe I can...I sure do call my mom a lot...) for my parents to one day go.
very very cool!! I love to see the desire and happiness from couples being able to serve missions together!! I hope one day Rocky and I can do that!
...oh and it was cool to see Kevin's parents...he looks a lot like his Dad.
Congratulations to Kevin's parents! How cool is that, and they both already speak french, that is awesome.
Hey - I tagged you over on my blog!
Congrats to the Doyles!
